Timothy Nicholson
Director of Worship
Timothy Nicholson serves as Director of Worship at Redeemer East Side. He has spent his career helping churches cultivate thoughtful, beautiful worship through music and liturgy. Tim previously served churches in Maryland, South Carolina, and Tennessee. He is the founder of Liturgy Collective and previously served as an Artist-in-Residence at University of Oxford. He holds a B.A. in Music from Georgia Southern University, with additional studies at Berklee College of Music and the Debrecen Conservatory. Tim is the author of a series of music appreciation textbooks and co-author of a children’s book with his wife, Sandra McCracken. Outside of ministry, he has sold Christmas ornaments at Harrods and worked as a backcountry and whitewater guide. An Eagle Scout, he enjoys running, cooking, outdoor adventure, jazz, and baseball. Tim and Sandra have three children and two dogs.
