Classes
Redeemer East Side believes that deep spiritual growth doesn’t happen in isolation; it happens with others. We offer classes and seminars where you can explore Scripture, deepen your faith, and build relationships. Led by pastors, staff, and trusted leaders from our community, these classes are designed to equip you to live out the gospel where you live and work. Read more about upcoming offerings below.
The Story Course
Taught by David Ellis & Kimberly Hunt
Wednesdays, March 4 - April 1 | 7pm
Do you have questions or doubts about the Christian faith? Join us a 5-week conversation-based class for anyone exploring, questioning, or rethinking Christianity, whether you’re skeptical, curious, or already part of the church. Each week includes open discussion, a short talk, hearing parts of each others' stories, and looking at the life and teachings of Jesus as we explore life’s biggest questions in a relaxed setting.
Membership Class
Taught by Rev. David Ellis
This two-part seminar is designed to provide you with information about Redeemer Presbyterian Church East Side and to enable you to take the first steps toward becoming a member of our church.
In this class we hope to answer common questions about:
What it means to trust and follow Jesus
How to grow as a Christian
How to flourish as church member
What it means to be a member of Redeemer East Side.
We pray that the membership class will be the first step in a long and fulfilling process of spiritual growth and fruitful service in your involvement at East Side.
Next class offerings:
Part 1: March 15 | 9am
Part 2: March 22 | 9am
Community Group Basics
Taught by Kyle Chen
Sunday, March 22 at 12:30pm
If you’re not currently part of a Community Group, we’d love to help you get connected! Community Groups are a great place to build meaningful friendships, grow in your faith, and learn how to live out the truth of the gospel in your everyday life. Community Group Basics is the best way to get started. In this class, you’ll learn the heart behind our groups, what they’re all about, and how to find the right group for you.
Sacramental Theology
Taught by Kyle Chen & Iain Coston
Thursday, May 21 | 7pm
Through baptism and the Lord’s Supper, Christ and the benefits of his new covenant are represented, sealed, and applied to believers. The importance of these sacraments to the Christian life cannot be overstated. Yet often Christians struggle to understand the sacraments and how to participate in them in meaningful ways. In this seminar, East Side pastors will unpack this important topic in practical and meaningful ways.
