Classes
Redeemer East Side believes that deep spiritual growth doesn’t happen in isolation; it happens with others. We offer classes and seminars where you can explore Scripture, deepen your faith, and build relationships. Led by pastors, staff, and trusted leaders from our community, these classes are designed to equip you to live out the gospel where you live and work. Read more about upcoming offerings below.
Membership Class

This two-part seminar is designed to provide you with information about Redeemer Presbyterian Church East Side and to enable you to take the first steps toward becoming a member of our church.
In this class we hope to answer common questions about:
What it means to trust and follow Jesus
How to grow as a Christian
How to flourish as church member
What it means to be a member of Redeemer East Side.
We pray that the membership class will be the first step in a long and fulfilling process of spiritual growth and fruitful service in your involvement at East Side.

How People Change
Taught by Lois Kehlenbrink
Sundays, June 7-Aug 2 | 9am
This is a course about people and about how people change into the image of Jesus Christ. The Bible teaches that true, lasting change begins in the heart, and is the result of understanding how the gospel—Christ’s past, present, and future grace—applies to how we live our daily lives.
Using the workbook, How People Change, by Paul Tripp and Tim Lane, we will lay the foundation for biblical change. We hope this class equips believers for personal growth and ministry, whether in the context of informal discipleship or professional counseling.
Lois Kehlenbrink is a speaker, biblical counselor, and Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. For nearly 25 years, she worked within Tim Keller’s ministry network at Redeemer Presbyterian Church, Redeemer Counseling Services, and Redeemer City to City. Today, under Paul Tripp Ministries, she offers counseling services to pastors/leaders around the world and equips them to start their own counselling programs. Lois received her M.S. in Family Counseling at Iona College and studied Biblical Counseling at Westminster Theological Seminary.
Deep Discipleship Cohort 1.0
Taught by Rev. David Ellis & Team
Biweekly Sundays, September 20-January 24 | 12:45pm
“Deep Discipleship” is a training cohort that provides participants with an opportunity to dive deeply into three key areas of the Christian faith: biblical interpretation, doctrinal knowledge, and spiritual practice.
This cohort meets 10 times every other week until the end of January. These 2-hour gatherings will feature a lecture from instructors (David Ellis & team) followed by group discussion. Between sessions, participants will invest about 2 hours per week to complete reading and viewing assignments.
The fee for the cohort, which covers the cost of books and other expenses, is $70 ($100 for married couples who share books). Scholarships are available upon request.
