Liz Avanzato Cintron
Director of Building and Event Operations
In 2010, a friend introduced Liz to Redeemer. Despite living in New Jersey at the time, she soon found herself commuting into the city every Sunday night for the evening service.
From 2013 to 2022, Liz had the joy of serving on the East Side team, overseeing volunteer teams and Sunday services. After a few years away, she rejoined the staff in June 2024 as the Director of Building and Event Operations for the East Side Building. She loves working at E91—hosting events, caring for the space, and stewarding the building in a way that serves both the church and the wider Upper East Side community.
Liz majored in Spanish in college, which led her to study abroad in Mexico for a semester. She loved it so much that she stayed for six years—teaching English, pursuing a master’s in applied linguistics, and developing a deep appreciation for language, culture, hospitality, and (of course) great food.
When she’s not at E91, Liz enjoys listening to podcasts, cooking, and studying the map of Astoria, where she lives with her husband, Mark. She aspires one day to become a true Astorian, expertly navigating between 23rd Street, 23rd Road, 23rd Avenue, and 23rd Drive.
