Laurie Veldheer

PM Elementary Curriculum Leader

Laurie was born and raised in Grand Rapids, MI and grew up in her home church Fuller Ave. She feel very connected to this role in the Children's Ministry because starting around 5th grade, she was very involved in her home church serving in the nursery, assisting in Sunday School, and singing regularly. It was around that time that God really grew a love of singing, dancing, and acting, which led Laurie to theater and ultimately to pursuing a career as a professional actor.

Laurie graduated with her BFA in Musical Theatre from Penn State University, moved to the city a few weeks after graduation, and have been living in Manhattan for the past 15 years. God has blessed her with incredible opportunities to perform in several Broadway shows, in National tours, at theaters around the country, and on TV/film.

She has also spent the last 15 years teaching students about the theater world, from private voice lessons, auditions classes, acting through song, and more recently in drama and speech, dance, and theatre classes. Laurie continues to thank God for His many blessings in her life, and she is grateful to be a part of this wonderful community.
